Ways to Support CBI

There are many ways to remember a loved one, celebrate an event and more through the Temple. Information on each are below. Please contact the Office for any questions!

Tree of Life

  • Commemorate special occasions, achievements, births, birthdays, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, marriages, anniversaries or other Mazel Tovs.

  • Honor or memorialize someone, with an engraved leaf displayed on our Tree of Life on the CBI lobby wall.

  • Every leaf includes the event, date, and your name.

  • Click here to complete the Tree of Life order form or contact Bob  Greenblatt at treeoflife@bisrael.com.

Memorial (Yahrzeit) plaques

  • Honor the loss of someone special to you through a Yahrzeit plaque, and you will ensure that their Yahrzeit date will be memorialized.

  • Order a Yahrzeit plaque to be displayed in the sanctuary.

  • A reminder letter will be mailed to you every year prior to the Yahrzeit anniversary.

  • The name and Yahrzeit date will be listed in the Menorah that month and the memorial light next to the plaque in the sanctuary will be lit.
Kaddish will be said annually in that person's memory.

  • Contact Lynn Reiff at memorial.coordinator@bisrael.com

Illustrated Torah

  • An Illustrated Torah is displayed in our sanctuary. The scroll contains beautiful and colorful illustrations of each Torah portion printed on canvas and sewn together like the pieces of parchment of the actual Torah scroll. Each week, the scroll is rolled to the portion of the week.

  • Individual canvas panels of a particular Torah portion can be purchased for your home, a bar/bat mitzvah gift, wedding gift or to mark a special occasion. A panel can be purchased framed or unframed and is a wonderful piece of art.

  • In addition, a book with all Torah portions in print is available for purchase.

  • Click here to complete the Illustrated Torah order form or email illustratedtorah@bisrael.com.

Cemetery Plots

  • Cemetery plots are available in Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries in Paramus, NJ.
